And I have had chronic pain for almost 11 years. I am in the maintenance phase of life now and have finally learned to manage my pain rather than let it manage me. It was not easy and took years. My adice? Find a passion; your passion something that make you feel alive and embrace it.

Gentle hugs

    Hi Nancy,

I just wanted to join Sam in patting you on the back. You have accomplished what so many others have tried to do in terms of managing your pain. On one hand, sounds like it was a long process and, on the other hand, you stuck to it and achieved success.

It also sounds like you found something to focus on beyond the daily management of pain. I am not suggesting that it is possible to pretend your pain doesn't exist, but at the same time, you don't allow it to define you. You passion, I would imagine, is fueling a vision beyond day to day pain.

    Am I right?

As Sam suggested, I am sure others on Chronic Pain Connect would benefit from hearing more about your story and any suggestions you might have that they could apply in their lives.

    What do you think?

I think that your advice is wonderful! It must feel so great to be the one controlling your pain and ultimately your life. What is your passion?
