Yesterday afternoon, I started having pain in my feet, ankles & knee's so bad that I had to take my breakthrough meds that my pain management doctor has prescribed for me for just these occasions, (but I haven't had to use them), When I woke up this morning I could hardly move even my elbows, neck, shoulders, forget it everybone in my body is in pain & on fire! We go some snow here overnight & its still snowing now & that must be the reason. I'm going to throw on my electric blanket & try to relax myself to try to ease the pain. My family keeps trying to get me to move to a warmer state, but I love Jersey, just not so much in the winter I guess.LOL thanks for listening & have a painfree day everyone

    Hi marydoodle!

My heart goes out to you! I hope that the electric blanket has done it's job and that your pain is subsiding. How are you doing?

I live across the river in NY. I know what you mean about cold. I am like squog. I love the change of seasons. But I can only say that winter makes me sadder to see the fall and happier to see the spring.

Please let us know how you are doing!

    Gary

Hey marydoodle! Jersey's a great place to live. I would never leave. And the winters can be worse as the last 2 were but then there are winters when we hardky get enough snow to sneeze at. I like the fact that we have 4 definate seasons. I would hate living somewhere where it is warm all the time. Even tho some places are warmer there are still temp changes, rain storms, etc that play havoc w/the barometer which in turn plays havoc w/our arthritis.

Sorry to hear about the pain you are suffering. It is all about keeping your joints warm and yes I too believe that the weather can affect it. Some people scoff at this theory but I believe it. I have arthritis in my left hand and both knees and when I get up in the morning and go downstairs my knees are so stiff I can hardly put one leg in front of the other. Hope the pain eases for you marydoodle. lol ☺☺☺

You are so right about weather affecting arthritis. I had a rheumy doc once who totally agreed w/that & can't understand how medical studys either don't or they won't let them support the "Theory". He said that it is ridiculous that the medical "experts/community" won't support the concept.
