You have control over the pain experience, you can change the way you respond to the pain by actively deciding to make those changes. So when it comes to our pain, it's important to pay attention to how we're paying attention to our pain. Visit http://www.DrCPainMD.com for more information on chronic pain management.

Add your commentI agree that since I've started on these sites and have begun conversing with people going through the same kinds of problems, that even though we discuss our pain (among other things), just being online with someone to talk to takes my mind off how bad it hurts. I've also begun reading again, which is one of the things he mentioned, and when I get into a good book, it also helps. It makes the time go faster, and I'm not consciously watching the clock to see when I will be able to take the next pain medication.
